He Stays: A Love That Won’t Leave When You

A gentle reflection from Victoria at Lovimco Holistic Wellness

If you’ve ever felt left behind…
Forsaken. Rejected.
Like the people you trusted most just couldn’t carry your story—
You’re not alone.

So many women I work with are carrying the invisible weight of unresolved grief—not always from death, but from relational losses, quiet abandonments, and love that was never returned or repaired.

Maybe it was a parent.
Maybe it was a friend.
Maybe someone who promised they’d always be there… until they weren’t.

And now you carry questions no one ever answered:
Was I not enough?
Was I too much?
Why did they stop choosing me?

When people leave, it often leaves more than a hole—it leaves a belief: that you are somehow unsafe to love… and unsafe to be loved.

And Then There’s Jesus…

For many, this is where faith can feel complicated.

You might know in your mind that Jesus loves you. But if your heart has been trained to brace for rejection, even God can feel like someone you have to tiptoe around.

So you give Him the “good bits.”
The polished version. The faith-filled version. The one who holds it all together.
But underneath? You’re exhausted. You’re scared. You’re unsure if love ever really lasts.

If that’s you—I want to tell you something sacred.

Jesus doesn’t flinch.

He enters those exact places you’re hiding.

The grief. The confusion. The failure. The loneliness.

And He stays.

“My God, My God, Why Have You Forsaken Me?”

There’s a moment on the cross where Jesus cried out these words (Matthew 27:46), and for many, it sounds like a declaration of total separation from God.

But what if it wasn’t?

Jesus was quoting the first line of Psalm 22—a prophetic psalm every Jewish listener would have known by heart. In that culture, quoting the first line of a Psalm was like referencing the whole song. It was how they called people to remember.

And if you read through Psalm 22… by verse 24 it says:

“He has not hidden His face from him but has listened to his cry for help.”

Jesus wasn’t abandoned.
God didn’t turn His face away.
The Father didn’t walk out.

Even in agony, they were one.

This matters deeply—because if Jesus was not forsaken, then you never will be either.

A Love That Doesn’t Leave

Jesus knows what it feels like to be wounded by those closest to Him.
Judas betrayed Him. Peter denied Him. Most of His followers scattered when He needed them most.

He gets it.

He was wounded in the house of His friends.

And yet, when He rose, He didn’t come back with anger. He came back with breakfast on the beach and a question for Peter:

“Do you love Me?” (John 21:15–17)

Three denials.
Three chances to be restored.
Not to shame.
To heal.

That’s the kind of love Jesus offers.

If You’re Still Afraid to Let Love In…

Maybe you’re still wondering if Jesus will stay once He sees all of you.

Maybe you’ve been guarding your heart because investing in people has only ever left you with less—less worth, less safety, less love.

But this relationship is different.

Jesus is not afraid of your mess. He’s not walking out when the layers start to peel back.
He’s not uncomfortable with your emotions. He’s not measuring your performance.

And He’s not going anywhere.

You can invest in Him.
You can rest in Him.
Because this is a love story that doesn’t end in goodbye.

If This Resonates…

At Lovimco, I often say that healing is not just physical—it’s deeply spiritual.
It’s not about perfection—it’s about connection. And some of the most powerful restoration comes when you allow yourself to be fully seen and fully loved—especially by God.

If you’ve been walking with the fear of abandonment…
If you’ve been bracing for rejection…
If love feels unsafe or uncertain…

This is your reminder:

He never leaves.
He doesn’t throw you away.
You are not too much. You are not too late.

You are already chosen.

And you are safe to stay.
